Social Allowance (Private students)
in Student News
With regard to the social allowance for private self-funded students of 200KD per month, kindly be advised that you will need to do the following:
- Have your course’s offer letter approved by the cultural office. You can do that through our online system (www.kcouk.org) by making a request for “Offer Approval”. However, if you are currently studying an English language course, you can just email (salem@kcouk.org) a copy of a letter from your school or college that confirms you are enrolled and studying as a full-time student. Make sure you quote your Civil ID number in all your emails.
- Create an account on MOHE’s online academic system (Dayrah) http://www.mohe.edu.kw/dayrah/, if you don’t have one already, so that we can update your records for the ministry of higher education.
- You will need to make a request for Social Allowance on our online system using your student account by uploading an official copy of an enrolment/confirmation of study letter from your University/College, in order for us to get it stamped and update your records accordingly on the ministry of higher education’s online system. Please note that this has to be done twice throughout the academic year (around September and February).
